TECHNICAL DIRECTION

SceneArts plans, leads and operates live event technology. Sometimes we provide the complete technical production. Sometimes the equipment comes partly or entirely from the venue or local suppliers. Our value is highest when technical judgment, coordination and responsibility matter alongside the technology itself.

You do not need to arrive with an equipment list. The first thing we ask aboutis not the technology. It’s what the event is for, who is coming, and what theyshould leave with. Then, before we write anything, we ask you back whetherwe have understood the part that matters.

WHAT WE TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR

WHAT WE TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR

Our role begins before the technical specification exists. We turn the event brief into a technical plan, define the requirements and responsibilities that matter, align the technical parties and prepare the production for live delivery.

On site we stay close to the work. The people responsible for the plan are there when it becomes real.

Speakers, presentations, videos, cues and content changes aren't details around the show. They are the show.

Speakers, presentations, videos, cues and content changes aren't details around the show. They are the show.

Which is why we've never been able to bring ourselves to disregard them as somebody else's problem. When a speaker arrives late and their file won't open, that isn't an interruption to the event. For a few minutes it is the event. We'drather account for that from the start.

01

We plan and deliver the whole technical production.

We plan and deliver the whole technical production.

Systems, crew and operation, from the first plan to the last cue.

02

We take the technical lead alongside your agency orproduction team.

We take the technical lead alongside your agency orproduction team.

You keep the wider event production. We own the technical side of it.

03

We lead a production built from venue and local resources.

We lead a production built from venue and local resources.

When that is the better way to deliver it, the equipment does not need to comefrom us at all.

04

And when another model makes more sense, we'll say so.

And when another model makes more sense, we'll say so.

If you already have a finished technical specification and simply need equipment against it, a local supplier is all you need. The same is true when a strong technical lead already owns the production and you need one more piece of kit or crew. We're built around coordination and judgment; remove those and what is left is not what we are best at.
