TechBBQ is a startup and tech summit that began in Copenhagen in 2013. Each year it brings together growth companies, investors and tech professionals from around the world. TechBBQ 2026 took place on 26 and 27 August 2026 at Bella Center Copenhagen, and the organisers expected more than 10,000 attendees. For 2026, a new stage was built for talks, panel discussions and presentations.
The new stage had to fit naturally into a modern startup event. It needed to feel approachable and easy to follow while still giving speakers, founders, moderators and panel guests a credible setting. A fast-paced programme, changing speakers and audience interaction meant that audio, visuals and presentation technology had to run without interruption, without the technology ever feeling heavy. The production was delivered abroad alongside an international event organisation, which made careful pre-planning and clear communication essential.
We took full responsibility for the technical production of the new stage and acted as the client's primary point of contact for it from planning to teardown. Our assigned Technical Producer managed the entire process, so the organiser never had to coordinate the stage's technology themselves. On site, two technicians had clearly divided roles: one handled audio, the other the visual systems. The stage was planned in advance with 3D visualisations, so the client could see the full setup before build-up.
